Meet Demetria Stewart

Demetria Stewart, Founder and Owner

Demetria Stewart is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina. Sports and fitness always played a major part in her life ever since she was a child. She began playing basketball at the age of eight and began playing Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball at the age of thirteen. Later, in middle and high school, she also began playing soccer and volleyball.

On March 16th, 2009, during her senior year at West Charlotte High School, her team won the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) 4 Women's Basketball State Championship; the first time in school history!

After graduating from West Charlotte High School, Demetria continued her education at Winston-Salem State University, where she received her Bachelor's of Science Degree of Therapeutic Recreation, minor in Psychology.

In addition to I Define Me Fitness, Demetria is a Motivator, Community Leader, Athlete, Vegan, Group Fitness Instructor, Certified CPR and First Aider (American Heart Association), Certified Mental Health First Aider (Atrium Health), Director of the Health and Wellness Ministry and Team Caption of Village HeartBEAT at her local church.

Demetria is passionate about inspiring others to live an overall healthy lifestyle.
